Volunteer!

Women’s Spirit is looking for Women to Volunteer. 

Specifically, volunteers that reside in the ​South​ of Israel who will accompany survivors of violence on a journey of personal and economic development.

 

Requirements​: 

1. Willing to participate in training and supervision provided by Women’s Spirit 

2. Woman at least 30 years old 

3. Positive work experience 

4. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be: accepting, patient, and sensitive

5. Available, resourceful, able to think creatively

6. Speak Hebrew & Have Basic computer skills

7. Available to commit to meeting weekly for a minimum of one year

 

Women's Spirit​ (רוח נשית ​) ​assists women victims of violence to develop financial independence and occupational security. Since their founding in 2007 they have assisted more than 3000​ women survivors of violence.

The AACI Southern Branch will offer remote counseling

English Speakers in Arad and Dimona

Are you an English speaker living in Arad or Dimona? If the answer is yes, you may enjoy meeting other English speakers in two new initiatives started by AACI members. 

Jane Bouchard is the contact person for the new ACES group, Arad Community of English Speakers, Their aim is to meet once a month with a planned program that will be held in a local community center. For more information, Jane can be contacted at jane_bouchard@yahoo.com. 

If any member of AACI, or non-member for that matter, wishes to find out about the Dimona English-Speaking Breakfast Club, write to Daveed Shachar at dovshachar@hotmail.com for details. Some members meet six days a week, some once a week, but all are always welcome.

Friendly English Meetings in Eilat

An English speakers’ group meets in Eilat at WIZO House on Jerusalem St., every Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., to shmooze and share information about what’s doing in Eilat.
